ABOUT DIC, BHUBANESWAR
The District Industries Centre (DIC), Bhubaneswar, located at Rasulgarh, has been functioning since October 2, 1983. It covers the entire revenue district of Khurda and functions as the nodal agency for implementing various MSME and industrial promotional policies of the Government of Odisha.

- Purpose: Promotes and supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), industrialization, and self-employment programs.
- Functions: Resource survey, identification of entrepreneurs, industrial project approval, and recommendation of incentives
The objectives of the DICs are listed as below.
- To identify prospective entrepreneurs to take up viable projects.
- To grant EIN ( Enterpreneur’s Identification Number) and Production Certificate alongwith conversion of the existing Enterpreneur’s Memorandum- Part-II (EM-II )and Permanent Registration Certificate (PMT) to the entrepreneurs.
- To strengthen the guidance cell to solve the problems of the entrepreneurs.
- To maintain updated data on SSI Sector in the district.
- To recommend financial proposals to Financial Institutions / Banks etc.
- To recommend for allotment of Govt. land /shed in Industrial Estates / Industrial Areas / Land Bank of IDCO.
- To arrange EDP training.
- To arrange exhibition, fair and publicity for MSMEs.
- To solve the problems of the industrial units at the district level .
- To recommend different incentives as per the industrial policy of the State Govt.
- To provide necessary marketing assistance.
- To monitor the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Prime Minister’s Formalisation of Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) ,PM- Vishwakarma and CM's Scheme of Reimbursement of Interest to MSMEs (CM-SRIM).
